    This story touched my heart!

At first I wondered how I could become someone like the watchman, but then I realized that I don’t need to become anyone; I was having the experience of longing, like the scholar in the story.

I also realized that remembering the example of the watchman will help me realign myself with my own heart.

Listening to this story connects me to a feeling of devotion and longing. I am learning once again that when service is offered with love and dedication, then the Lord is truly pleased.

    New York, United States

This story moved me deeply. First, I read it, and then I was inspired to listen to it being read out loud while I read it again. I’m so glad I did that.

Like the priest, I felt a single tear of recognition—of love, humility, and understanding—begin to form in one eye. I saw subtle flashes of my own pride, and I experienced the longing that I sometimes suppress. I saw my tendency to judge others and myself for imperfections, and yet I was still able to connect with my yearning to live in the depths of pure love where perfect serenity awaits me.

    Kentucky, United States

This engaging story of Lord Krishna and the Watchman opened my eyes and heart. As I’ve aged, I’ve lost my once lovely singing voice. Being a perfectionist like the priest, I seldom chant anymore, and I miss the sweetness. But now, after listening to this story, I realize that I want to make chanting a regular practice again. I can and will concentrate on the sound of love arising from my core as I chant, and I will bathe in its sweetness.
