Aunque las siguientes instrucciones son para hacer una práctica de pie, si no te es posible permanecer de pie durante un período prolongado de tiempo, puedes hacer una versión modificada de la práctica y realizarla sentado. As I continued to walk, I felt energy moving upward in my body. I felt I was being showered with shimmering golden particles. I realized that in her guidance, Gurumayi is teaching me how to walk in many areas of my life.

When I placed my hands in a cup shape in front of me, as Gurumayi instructed, I felt a very gentle warmth enter me and spread throughout my body. This warmth then surrounded me, and I felt as though the limits of my physical body were slowly dissolving.
Although I was no longer repeating Om Namah Shivaya, the mantra continued to reverberate, creating a state of calmness that I reveled in.
Even a few hours later, when I had resumed my daily activities, I felt washed clean on the inside, from head to toe. I felt renewed, strong, and alert.

Following an eye surgery, I have to refrain from strenuous activities for a time. Doctor’s orders! But gentle walks are allowed. So I did some of the practices from “Soundness of Body” in my gentle walk today. The mantra repetition combined with my full awareness of each step was delightful. Even my knees felt joyful!
This practice makes me grateful for the miracle of the human body inherent in each step, in each moment.

Having read and first visualized the guidance Gurumayi gives for installing the mantra in my body, I now have a sense that I too am as strong as an oak tree, which has given me the encouragement to do this practice physically.
