I experienced the base of Mt. Meru extending deep down into the earth. My body became the mountain, and my heart shone with a golden hue, like the sunlit peaks in the picture.
I had been praying for inner strength. With the experience of Mount Meru installed within me, I feel my prayer has been answered.

As I did so, I felt and heard a slight rumbling at the base of my spine, and then I experienced a powerful cobra undulating up through my body with his hood softly swaying and stretching out above my head. I recognized this to be the benevolent, subtle presence of Bhagavan Nityananda. Gurumayi’s soft and serene presence was also there, and I could see her interpenetrating my being and extending in all directions.
I feel completely supported and loved. This experience is still very alive and is staying with me. I bow my head in gratitude.

In the next split-second, Bade Baba’s murti beneath the hood of a five-headed cobra in the courtyard of Gurudev Siddha Peeth flashed forth in my mind. I was overwhelmed by his darshan. For me it was a clear indication of the Guru’s protection and amazing grace.
