Preparation for the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive

In this preparation event, Siddha Yoga meditation teachers Swami Kripananda and Meera Laube Szapiro lead participants through the practices that Baba Muktananda named the four wheels of the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive—posture, breath, mantra, and meditation. These four essential practices will support your active participation in the Shaktipat Intensive.

Additionally, Siddha Yoga meditation teacher and host Asa Siegel speaks about the significance of the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive and shaktipat initiation.

This preparation event via audio webcast is also held in many Siddha Yoga Ashrams and meditation centers. You are welcome to invite your friends and family to participate in one of these locations or via the Siddha Yoga path website.

Before you begin, take the following steps:

  • Schedule a time that allows you to participate without interruption.
    • The webcast is 55 minutes in length.
  • Prepare the space by ensuring it is supportive for meditation.
  • Wear clothing that is comfortable for stretching.

Today I was supposed to be in London, participating in the Shaktipat Intensive 2023. This was the only thing I wanted to experience: a live Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive, with its sacred initiation bringing me the freedom that I have been longing for. But as I was leaving for the airport, I was called back and had to stay at home for family reasons.

Nevertheless, I feel that I am with everyone in spirit. This morning I revisited the Preparation for the Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive, and after hearing Swami Kripananda’s calm and precise meditation instructions, I fell into a state of pure white light during meditation.

I am so grateful to the SYDA Foundation for making this possible, and to Gurumayi for being in the world and in my heart.

I just completed the Preparation for the Shaktipat Intensive 2023, which was being held in many places as I prepared, and is continuing as I write this. As I prepared, I felt that I was actually experiencing being with Gurumayi, and with everything as it was occurring.

I’ve participated in two Shaktipat Intensives in which Gurumayi was physically present. During this Preparation, I felt much the same as I did when the Kundalini Shakti was awakened in me and I was totally immersed in the universe of her eyes. I feel now as if I were in the afterglow of those moments, and in the glow of the Shaktipat Intensive that is being held all around the world as I write.
