Meera Laube Szapiro was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path by her sister and began practicing the Siddha Yoga teachings in 1999, after participating in a Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive in Santa Clara, California. Meera is both a Siddha Yoga meditation teacher and music teacher. She offers seva in the SYDA Foundation as a director and teacher for Siddha Yoga teaching and learning events. From 2000 to 2011, Meera served as a staff member in Shree Muktananda Ashram and Gurudev Siddha Peeth.

Meera holds a bachelor’s degree in film production from Northwestern University. She is an executive consultant and leadership coach. Meera, her husband, Avi, and their daughter, Eliani Karishma, live in New Haven, Connecticut.
