About Lavanya Mavillapalli

Lavanya Mavillapalli was introduced to Siddha Yoga by her husband, Aditya, in 2003. Since that time, she has offered seva in various capacities in the SYDA Foundation, including as a lead chanter at the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Chennai, India, and at Gurudev Siddha Peeth, where she currently serves as a visiting activity coordinator for young people. She has also served as an English language editor and coordinator for the Scriptural Text Team of Neeleshwari.

During her visits to Shree Muktananda Ashram, Lavanya has performed Bharatanatyam, a form of Indian classical dance, in many satsangs with Gurumayi. Recently, she was a storyteller at one of the “Be in the Temple” satsangs. Lavanya currently offers seva as a writer in the Content Department.

Lavanya is a professional performer and teacher of Bharatanatyam. She also works as an English language consultant. She holds a master’s degree in English literature from Stella Maris College, Chennai, India. Lavanya resides in Chennai with her husband, Aditya, and their twelve-year-old son, Kedar.
