Geeta Mali was introduced to the Siddha Yoga path in 1986 by her parents at the age of five. Gita offered seva for two decades as a Siddha Yoga musician, and she was a Gurukula student in Gurudev Siddha Peeth from 2000 to 2004. Geeta was also an award-winning professional singer who performed classical and contemporary Indian music. She earned a master’s degree in music from the University of Mumbai and completed Sangeet Visharad, a seven-year course in Indian classical music at Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal in Mumbai. Geeta passed away in 2019; she is survived by her husband and their son, who live in Nashik, Maharashtra.
