Gauri Maurer was four months old when her parents brought her to Shree Muktananda Ashram and she received Gurumayi Chidvilasananda’s darshan. As a child and teenager, Gauri participated in satsangs at Shree Muktananda Ashram and at the Siddha Yoga Ashram and Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 2013 she has been serving as a staff member in the SYDA Foundation. Gauri holds the position of Content Department Head and also offers seva as a Siddha Yoga musician, writer, and speaker.

Gauri holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, where she majored in art with a focus in performance art.
