I have been longing to participate in satsang at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Melbourne, Australia, near my home. But because of the lockdown, this has not been possible. This morning, looking out the window of my farm—at the mountain and the trees, the flowers and the birds flying about—my longing intensified.
Then I visited the Siddha Yoga path website and participated in “Gurumayi’s Guidance: Peace of Mind.” I immediately felt a gentle flow of delight, and was embraced in the power of our Guru’s grace.

Later, when I came out of meditation and we were sharing our experiences, I felt that each one of us was speaking from that space of stillness. Our voices were soft and we used minimal words to share. And I could see a gentle smile on our faces. There was indeed “harmony in the atmosphere.”

By practicing “Gurumayi’s Guidance,” I can take a few minutes out from whatever I am doing to connect with the Divine within me. Then I can resume my activities with a purified, refined focus. To me, this is such a beautiful reminder that I am always connected to the Self.

The sacred mountain reminds me of Bade Baba and helps me feel reconnected with my heart. Focusing on this image enables me to absorb the firmness and stillness of the sacred mountain into my heart. I love to revisit this practice again and again.

The two wheels in the upper corners of the design represent for me “the wheel of dharma,” reminding me that following dharma is another path to navigating the bumpy roads I might encounter in my sadhana. The wheels—and their hubs—also reminded me of Bade Baba’s core teaching, “The Heart is the hub of all sacred spaces. Go there and roam.”
“Gurumayi’s Guidance” feels like a new road map for me to help bring me back again and again to that sacred hub within me.

When I closed my eyes, my awareness went through this beautiful archway into the landscape, traveling upwards like a bird—there was so much bright blue sky! I was reminded of being in central Australia, with that spacious landscape and sky. I felt my heart expand, becoming free in this space. As I focused on the bindu and sang AUM aloud, I felt the blue sphere going to a part of my body that had been feeling pain. Now, that part of my body feels comfortable.
I am very grateful for this gateway into my own peaceful heart.

The image suggests to me that I am standing in front of an open door that leads into perfect freedom. The door is thick, with several layers. The horizontally drawn zigzag lines remind me of the zigzag lifestyles of many lifetimes, while the two wheels remind me of returning to this kind of lifestyle again and again. The wall has this huge opening. Golden ornaments, Lord Ganesha, and an ornament I associate with the tree of life invite me to use the door. The outlook is inviting. AUM shines to my side. To be in contact with it, or practice it, makes me ready to go, and there is nothing else I need. AUM is good enough.
It takes courage to go, to leave the world of engraved patterns, to step over this threshold and to enter this immense free space. AUM is the means for me to be “good to go.” Now the door is open. Go!

Then, I admired attentively the image on the screen. This golden and green doorway composed of eleven voussoir portions leads to the natural countryside of Ganeshpuri. I see Lord Ganesh in the cornerstone as the guardian of this space, which is vibrating under the AUM symbol. I imagined that Mount Mandagni had always appeared the same, down through the ages. Bhagavan Nityananda settled at its feet, and Baba Muktananda and Gurumayi completed their sadhana not far from it. Through this sacred doorway, I enter the infinite sky of Consciousness illuminated by the Blue Pearl.

I started the breathing exercise, taking a deep breath and feeling the air moving through my interior. As I exhaled, I felt the vibration of the AUM sound come out of me; I spontaneously emitted a sound whose power and harmony made me feel as if the power and harmony of the mantra were traveling like fast and robust waves, around all the curves of the world. It was a sacred experience.

While doing the practice in standing posture, I found my awareness totally centered on the Blue Pearl between my eyebrows and vibrations of AUM throughout my body. As I increased the loudness of my utterance of AUM, I experienced these vibrations as if they were enveloping the whole universe along with a soothing light in which I found myself enveloped.
I sat silently for a few minutes after doing this and found my body, mind, and whole being at peace, and my heart feeling serene. I am very grateful to Shri Gurumayi for providing me with such a simple means to reach my Self and to attain strength, peace, and stability.

When I found “Gurumayi’s Guidance” on the homepage, I followed the instructions Gurumayi had given. I imagined taking hold of my friend’s mother by the hand and together entering into the space of the Blue Pearl—a safe haven, untouchable by the shadows, full of light. In taking this time to listen to the vibration of AUM within, while chanting it loudly, I was refreshed—like resetting myself. I was really "good to go."
With these three words resonating with the Guru’s intention and blessing for us, I continued my walk, free from the past, right in the present, lighthearted—and filled with a sense of goodness and the awareness that I could make a difference by bringing this energy alive within me to everything around me.
There is no greater protection than the Guru’s teachings and blessings.

Then I found “Gurumayi’s Guidance.” As I closed my eyes and started chanting AUM, I saw a magnificent snake, firmly encircled at the base and graciously sitting up straight with two dots on top of it. I offered my salutation to this divine form of Kundalini Shakti. When I opened my eyes, I saw in the image on the website two tiny circles in the Blue Pearl at the top of the AUM symbol, as if they were the two dots of the snake.
I understand the Shakti is with me, and shakti literally means “strength” or “power.” I indeed got in touch with my inner strength!

So when I read and practiced “Gurumayi’s Guidance,” I felt she was personally teaching me how to integrate and ground these gifts of grace I’ve received in meditation. After doing the practice, I feel at peace in body, mind, and spirit. I plan to practice this daily and feel totally “good to go.”

Then I saw “Gurumayi’s Guidance,” and her instruction to sing AUM. The arch with Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, reminds me of a door opening out onto sacred land. To me Mount Mandagni reminds me of staying strong, and Mount Mandagni has the initial M, for “Muktananda.” When I sang AUM according to the guidance, the sound continued to reverberate in my ears, giving me new hope. I also associate the color green with hope.
I understood from this that Gurumayi knows all the troubles, collective and personal, that humans are going through in this time. She is reaching out her grace-filled hand and heart to support us in finding that which is beyond external appearances. I feel very touched.

Today I did this practice in the sitting posture by holding in my awareness the image of Mandagni, the sacred mountain in the Tansa Velly, near Gurudev Siddha Peeth. As I started chanting AUM, I felt oneness with the Heart. I have decided to do this practice every day.

I reflected afterwards on how the prana and sound vibrations washed away any preoccupations or tensions, while the portal’s images were like bookmarks, linking me directly to my inner peace and calm. The mountain we see now in the image was, at that time, gently silhouetted against the inky sky. Suddenly, I saw Bade Baba’s form merging into and emerging from the whole mountain. There he was for an instant, reclining resplendently, and filling the whole space. It was a vivid experience of the teaching of Bade Baba’s posted recently on the Siddha Yoga path website: “Be calm. I am everywhere.”

Then, as I visualized the symbol of AUM and the Blue Pearl, inside me I saw many hearts of white light all around. I could actually hear Gurumayi’s voice guiding us. The breath was vibrating in my body and in my heart, and the whole atmosphere transformed into wonderful colors, lights, and sounds.
Now I just have to join hands and thank my beloved Guru.

My first response was to put my hands together and bow to her words and image.
I then read the words several times to become acquainted with them. I first did the practice sitting down. As I began to focus on the radiant bindu and to hum AUM, I sensed a warmth in the center of my chest that then went down to my belly as I chanted AUM. I allowed myself to bask in the glowing heat that felt like a soft ember in my chest, filling me with deep serenity, sweetness, and strength.
I decided to try it again standing up. As I chanted AUM and focused on the bindu, I felt the warmth becoming deeper and stronger, going deep below through my feet toward the earth. The heat was accompanied by a feeling of groundedness and wholeness. I had a sense of being deeply loved, centered, calm.
An hour later the warmth is still here.
