This abhanga is so exquisite. Tears are filling my eyes; my heart is full of peace and devotion to our Guru and her lineage.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for sharing your divine vision with us in so many ways.

Love for the Guru wells up within me on hearing these words, this voice, and this music. It amazes me that this abhanga was written so many years ago! I imagine that it evoked the same welling up of love within the singer and the listener at that time as well. Devotion seems to reach across time and circumstance. How beautiful to feel this connection to the Guru and this link to devotees of the Guru across the ages.

As I listened to Majhi Deva-Puja this morning outside on my deck, my heart replied with a resounding YES to the refrain. At the same moment, the birds replied with vibrant, joyful singing!

It seemed to me that they too were praising "the emperor of my heart". How marvelous!

When I listen to this abhanga, I experience the silence in my being. My heart enjoys oneness with the Guru, and I feel her blessings.

    Dhanyavad, Shri Gurumayi ji.

This beautiful abhanga gives voice to my heart’s longing. It expresses the intangible in such a pure, sweet, and essential form. It reminds me that all my actions are a form of worship.

I offer my heart at the Guru’s feet.

“Meditation on my Guru’s feet is my daily bath and prayer.”

This verse from Shivadina’s abhanga describes the place meditation has in each day for me. Each morning, having visited the sacred space of meditation, having immersed myself in the experience of Shri Guru’s grace, I open my eyes to a new vista. It is such a delight to hear my experience celebrated and expressed in music and song. It affirms that this daily nurturance and renewal have been the blissful experience of seekers throughout time.
